My flatbed scanner has to be the most frustrating bit of kit I’ve ever owned. It’s temperamental, what you see is what you don’t get, and as the IT support desk is out of the house, toiling away at his own workplace for more hours than I care to count, I’m left to try and figure out the thing on my own.
No more! I bought the Photomyne Pro Album Scanner app as I had a number of images I needed to scan for a non-fiction book, many of which were glued inside old photo albums. I had low expectations of the quality, but the resulting images (which you can see in the gallery on this blog) were better than the originals, even those that had deteriorated. Cropping and editing was a breeze. As they were all old photos, I was never going to get a perfect result, but thought, what the heck, and ended up using the images in my book.
If you have any photos in albums that you want to preserve in digital form, then this is by far the best solution I’ve found.
I would like to thank you for the efforts you’ve put in writing this website. I’m hoping the same high-grade web site post from you in the upcoming also. Actually your creative writing skills has inspired me to get my own blog now. Really the blogging is spreading its wings rapidly. Your write up is a great example of it.
Hi there would you mind sharing which blog platform you’re working with?
I’m going to start my own blog soon but I’m having a tough time selecting between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal.
The reason I ask is because your design seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something unique.
P.S My apologies for getting off-topic but I had to ask!
